When we talk about dry cough, we are referring to one that has no phlegm, i.e. that is not productive. It is a reaction that occurs when the body detects a foreign object in the throat or airways. In this way, that throat clearer works as a cleaner for the area.
However, If this occurs on a frequent basis, it is best to see a doctor to find out what could be causing it. Since it’s a common symptom, it’s important to know if it’s caused by an allergy, asthma, pneumonia, or other condition, in order to give it the most appropriate treatment.
In addition, you can resort to some home remedies, such as the ones we will share with you below, the basis of which is delicious and nourishing honey. Take note of the recipes!

What should you keep in mind about these syrups?
These homemade syrups will help moisturize, soften, and soothe a sore throat caused by a cough. They provide temporary relief, which is also very useful in the case of minor discomfort. However, it should be remembered that they cannot “cure” the underlying cough problem on their own.
The ideal is to combine its use with good lifestyle habits and, of course, doctor’s recommendations. In this way it will be possible to appreciate the improvements.
On the other hand, if you still haven’t found the cause of your cough despite going to the consultation, think about whether there is any emotional factor that is affecting you. Some people somatize stressful situations and manifest it through a dry cough.
If you suspect that this is happening to you, we advise you to consult a psychologist and, as a complement, try the classic hot milk with honey (or golden milk). In addition to soothing your throat and giving you relief, it will help you rest better.
