- 1 cup (250ml) of water.

- 20 g of water.
- 100 g of honey.
- 1.5 g of ginger powder.
- 10 g of apple compote.

- Prepare the apple compote. Once ready, leave it to cool a bit in the fridge.
- Add the tablespoons of cayenne pepper and turmeric powder to the container you’ve designated for storing the syrup.
- Gradually add the honey and mix with a spoon to mix the ingredients.
- Add a little water and the apple compote.
- Mix everything again with a spoon and leave to macerate for at least a couple of days.
- Take a teaspoon every time you feel discomfort from a dry cough.
- Store the syrup for up to a week.
What should you keep in mind about these syrups?
These homemade syrups will help moisturize, soften, and soothe a sore throat caused by a cough. They provide temporary relief, which is also very useful in the case of minor discomfort. However, it should be remembered that they cannot “cure” the underlying cough problem on their own.
