Attempts to bring down the bear that climbed a tree in the Azuga cemetery were unsuccessful due to the noise in the cemetery and the large number of people.
“It was reported to us that a bear took refuge in a tree in the Azuga city cemetery. The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations sent an RO-Alert message to warn citizens in the immediate vicinity. A SMURD medical resource was also assigned to the scene to secure the area. From the information I currently have, due to the large number of people in the cemetery and the noise produced by it, attempts to get the bear down from the tree failed,” the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Prahova said.

A RO-Alert message was issued in Azuga on Saturday after a bear was seen perched on a tree in the cemetery.
Last year, a 39-year-old man who went jogging was found dead after being attacked by a bear in Azuga.
