First of all we have to highlight the elements that make this method of cooking fish perfect. On the one hand, you have several options to give it that recognizable texture that only the breading technique can give you.

Some use the wheat flour with a little egg to add that crunchy layer. Others often use breadcrumbs to provide the same look and is healthier in some ways.

Tuna steak, a breaded fish recipe

Tuna can be a good option for making breaded fish.

This fish is extremely delicious and packed with numerous health benefits. Contains high levels of omega 3 and trace elements essential for building amino acids, as well as antioxidants.

In addition, it is very convenient and contains almost no plugs.

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • The juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic without skin
  • ⅔ cup breadcrumbs (100 g)
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (15 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons ground coriander (30 g)

Preparation

  1. The first thing you need is a wooden board large enough to marinate the tuna steaks well.
  2. Arrange the fillets on a work surface and start by sprinkling the entire surface with sea salt.
  3. Then, in a pan with a drizzle of vegetable oil and over medium heat, proceed to fry the garlic cloves and the onion, previously cut into cubes.
  4. Make sure you brown them well until they give off an aroma and the onion becomes translucent.
  5. Add some pepper, remove and reserve.
  6. In a bowl, beat the eggs and set aside.
  7. Now it is the turn to pass the fillets with the beaten egg and wet them well.
  8. Then do the same but in the breadcrumbs.
  9. Finally, salt and pepper a little and put them in the pan with the condiments and the seed oil (hot).
  10. Let them brown on both sides and, when you realize they are crunchy enough (to your liking), turn off the heat, they will be ready to eat.

Breaded fish can also be made with flour.

If for some reason you still prefer to do it in the more popular way or you simply don’t really like using breadcrumbs, you can complete the recipe for breaded fish with wheat flour; also with cornmeal. With the latter they will be more crunchy but the flavor changes a bit.

Remember that these are options for cooking an ingredient that is itself rich in nutrients. Highlight the Omega 3 but it also contains vitamins and minerals (zinc, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium).

Preparation

  1. Place the fillets in a medium bowl.
  2. Gradually add the Worcestershire sauce, marinade powder, black pepper and sea salt.
  3. Next, with the help of your hands, take care to soak the fillets well with the seasonings. Make sure they are well integrated with the fish.
  4. Then, in a pan over medium heat, pour the oil and garlic cloves and let it get quite hot.
  5. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
  6. Before passing the fillets into the pan, top with enough beaten egg and then pass them on both sides in the wheat flour. Abundantly.
  7. Once the flour has set well on the fillets, put them in the pan and brown them. About 5 minutes per face.
  8. Finally, remove and drain each fillet before serving.
  9. You can accompany this dish with a twist of lemon and sides of french fries or banana. Simply delicious and easy to prepare.
