An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 occurred in the sea near Nicaragua, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) announced.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 64 kilometers, EMSC said. Its epicenter was located 15 kilometers southwest of Chinandega, writes Mediafax.
There are no reports of casualties, property damage or tsunami warnings.
