The 15th edition of the Sibiu Christmas Market takes place this year between November 11, 2022 and January 2, 2023, in the Great Square of Sibiu, without any restrictions, after the years of the pandemic. Children’s workshops, Instagrammable corners, photo corners and authentic Christmas atmosphere are announced.
After two years in which the Christmas Fair in Sibiu had to partially restrict its activity due to the pandemic, this winter Sibiu will welcome the event again in all its splendor and with many new points of attraction, from workshops for children to corners instagrammable, photo corners or boutique theater experiences, where children will be able to listen to interesting stories. We will also have the projections on the facades of the symbolic buildings that make up the Great Square, which will give a special atmosphere to the Christmas Market in Sibiu.
On October 26, registrations for Santa’s Workshop began, and in the first 24 hours over 80% of the available places for groups organized by schools and kindergartens were taken.
For those wishing to register for the workshop activities, the remaining available places can be checked at this address: https://targuldecraciun.ro/atelierul-lui-mos-craciun/.
Those who organize the Christmas Fair in Sibiu also think about the environment
The registrations for the exhibitors who will color this year’s edition of the Fair began much, much earlier, already in May, and those who will participate went through a rigorous selection process. Thus, everyone had the necessary time to thoroughly prepare for this year’s edition and to offer as wide and interesting a range of products as possible. In total, 110 exhibitors from 20 counties of the country will participate in this year’s edition.
“Because environmental problems concern us all, the organizers of the Christmas Fair in Sibiu have deepened solutions to protect the environment. The lighting installations are built with economical bulbs, and the lighting program will be adapted to the light level, so that the bulbs only turn on when it really makes sense. In the same way, all single-use packaging used by those who offer food or drinks are biodegradable, for a minimal impact of waste on the environment”, the organizers said.
The fair will no longer be affected by the pandemic restrictions
“We have been waiting for too long for the moment when we can organize the Christmas Fair in Sibiu without any restrictions and we have prepared intensively to surpass the editions before the pandemic in terms of size, number of exhibitors, points of attraction for visitors and, the more importantly, as an atmosphere. Christmas is the most important holiday for Romanians, and in Sibiu we want to celebrate it with all the pomp. We are waiting for you all at the Fair!”, says Andrei Drăgan Răduleț, the organizer of the Christmas Fair in Sibiu.
