Russia has launched about 300 strikes on Ukraine’s energy system in 10 days, Ukraine’s energy minister says.
Ukraine’s energy minister said Russia had launched about 300 strikes on the country’s energy system since October 10, according to Sky News.
Heram Halushchenko also said that the government is aiming for a 20% reduction in energy consumption and that Ukrainians have responded positively to a call to limit energy consumption.
Ukraine’s energy system is facing problems
“We are seeing a decrease in consumption. We are seeing a voluntary decline. But when it is not enough, we are forced to introduce forced shutdowns”, explained the Minister of Energy.
Since last week, Russia has stepped up its attacks on critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
