Russia has decided to ban the movement of Western trucks through the country by presidential decree, according to Sky News.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree authorizing the government to ban the movement of Western trucks on Russian territory.
The order prohibits the movement of trucks carrying goods that are registered in countries that have imposed similar restrictions on Russia.
Russians have complained that the European Union has closed its borders
In April, the Russians complained that the European Union had closed its borders to some cargo vehicles registered in Russia and Belarus as a result of sanctions related to the conflict in Ukraine.
Putin’s decree states that the measures were introduced in response to “unfriendly” restrictions imposed by foreign states on Russian citizens and entities.
